Which devices and networks work?
One Copy works between phones, computers, and tablets and does not require both devices to be on the same local network. You can transfer between Windows and iPhone, Android and Mac, or other mixed-platform combinations as long as both browsers can reach the internet.
How to transfer an image or file
Create or join a room on the first device, then enter the same room code on the second. Select a file with the paperclip button or drag it into the message area on a computer. After upload, the other device receives a download card. Common images can be previewed after they are securely decrypted in the receiving browser.
File size and retention
One Copy currently supports individual files up to 300 MB. Files are temporary and expire after 30 minutes by default, so this service is not permanent cloud storage. Download the file before it expires and keep your own backup of anything important.
Best-fit use cases
Use it for screenshots, PDFs, documents, archives, and other small or medium files. A dedicated cloud drive or peer-to-peer tool is a better fit for very large transfers, persistent shared folders, or backups. One Copy focuses on fast, no-account handoffs across platforms.
